As a Sierra Club member, I was asked by editor, Kate Rounds, to write an article about Liberty State Park for Jersey City Magazine.
It was published in May 2018.
All the environmentalists of Hudson County were fighting to save Liberty State Park's Cove shoreline from golf course expansion and the Cove inlet from being turned into a marina.
We won these battles, but feared more would be coming in the future. I was surprised to be writing for such a locally prominent magazine. I provided most of the photos: the group of hikers, the horseshoe crab, butterfly and heron with fish.
